Priyal Agarwal is an Indian obstetrician and gynaecologist. She holds a DNBin Obstetrics and Gynaecology, which she completed in 2025 at Chinmaya Mission Hospital, Bengaluru, and an MBBS from Gauhati Medical College & Hospital, Guwahati, where she graduated with Honours in Otorhinolaryngology.
Her clinical experience spans rural primary health centres in Assam, hospital medicine in Siliguri, a tertiary teaching hospital in Bengaluru and a regional cancer centre. She practises as a consultant obstetrician–gynaecologist, serves as Medical Officer in Charge of a primary health centre, and is the founder and chief executive of WomanHood, a women's health venture.
Education
Agarwal studied medicine at Gauhati Medical College & Hospital, Guwahati, from 2012 to 2018, graduating MBBS with Honours in Otorhinolaryngology. She completed her rotatory internship at the same institution between September 2017 and August 2018, rotating through medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology, and paediatrics.
From 2022 to 2025 she undertook postgraduate training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Chinmaya Mission Hospital, Indiranagar, Bengaluru, qualifying DNB. Her thesis examined the prevalence of human papillomavirus among women attending the gynaecology outpatient department, supervised by Dr. Sunanda Kulkarni.
Career
Agarwal began her career in public health, serving as a Medical Officer at Rangia and Balisatra Block Primary Health Centres in Assam from September 2018 to March 2020, where she delivered primary care and maternal health services and ran block-level immunisation programmes. She then worked as a Resident Medical Officer at Maharaja Agrasen Hospital, Siliguri, from September 2021 to February 2022.
During her residency she completed a peripheral posting in gynae-oncology at the Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology, Bengaluru, between April and July 2023, covering cancer diagnosis, staging and multidisciplinary treatment planning. From March 2024 she has also provided gynaecology consultancy to student and staff communities at RV Institutions.
Since May 2025 she has practised as a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist at Healing Touch Hospital, Bhagalpur, managing outpatient and inpatient obstetric and gynaecological cases including antenatal care, deliveries and surgery. She concurrently serves as Medical Officer in Charge of UPHC Sacchidanand Nagar, Bhagalpur, leading the centre's clinical and administrative operations.
WomanHood
Agarwal is the founder and chief executive of WomanHood, a venture dedicated to elevating women's health and widening access to care. Its stated conviction is that every woman deserves care that is informed, dignified and kind, from rural health centres to online consultation.
Practice
Her consultations cover pregnancy and antenatal care, menstrual health, PCOS and PCOD, fertility and preconception planning, adolescent health, menopause and midlife care, and preventive well-woman checkups. Consultations are offered by video, audio, chat and in-clinic visit.
